that's not a question you can decide on before the situation arises. There are so many situations that could put you in the situation that all conditions have to be considered. In a nut shell, you'd save whoever is closest and easiest to save then go after the other.

As hard as this question is, My answer is, my child. My wife had led a life and although it may end before it should, my daughter has a long life to lead ahead of her.

The wife, a man's wife should come first before everything and everyone!
thats an extremely hard question to really trully answer.(especially sense I dont have kids) God forbid it happen to anybody.
