Should I just go and get my tooth filled or should I listen to my friend before it's too late and I start spitting up pea soup, cursing Jesus, and -- worst of all -- listening to Barry Manilow music?

Definitely sounds like you need a good exorcist. Of course I'm must already be possessed, as I like most of Barry Manilow's music. I even have one of his Cd's that I play over and over and over. OK, so I exaggerate some as well. Another sign of possession.

Why not try the demonic possesion and if it doesnt suit you get the exorcism and get the tooth taken out.

I'd go with the dentist first. Unless your friend is a bishop or a priest or something, he/she is not qualified to "diagnose" your problem as a satanic or demonic possession.
