My girlfriend freaked out when she saw me put toothpaste on my toothbrush without wetting it FIRST. I DO wet it while brushing, just not when I put the paste on....What do you do?

I put the toothpaste on the toothbrush first ..then I wet it..because I find..if I wet the toothbrush first...the toothpaste slides off of it....

Does she rinse her mouth out after she brushes her teeth...? I do..but I know a lot of people that don't...yuck!

I usually wet it after I put it on because sometimes if there is a lot of water the toothpaste gets wet and slips off of the brush ... then it gets wasted. that sucks.

I wet mine first, then put on toothpaste, then wet it again before I brush my teeth. I was taught to brush this way by an elderly dentist as a child & have kept to the habit. My son does it your way, toothpaste first, then water, then brushes.

She freaked out because you didn't wet it first?! WTF?! She should just be glad you're brushing your teeth, not giving a rat's booty how you go through the ritual. Who cares HOW you go about it just as long as you brush!

I wet it after putting the toothpaste on. I don't know why, but it seems to brush better when the toothpaste and brush have been dampened in water.

I don't see why your gf would care. She should care only if you DID NOT brush your teeth at all.

I always rinse it first. Who knows what kind of nasties might have landed or crawled on it during the day or night. I brush in the shower so I just run it under first. Also helps with immediate foaming action.
