I know this issue very well, and the agents did make a fatal mistake in the reporting portion of the incident, but they did not deserve the punishment they got. Maybe 30 days on the beach, but not their lives in federal prison. With all the politics and ******** going on, I cannot see how the US gov't is willing to let these two men serve time for some piece of crap Mexican illegal bringing drugs into the country to hurt our children, too bad the dirtbag did not get shot in the back of the head, instead of the "a s s"..

simply by certainty they are criminals. Pardons are meant to given to those that could make a solid case for their innocence after conviction, which those 2 border patrol grownup adult adult males won't have the skill to do. What approximately all the teen molesters, murderers, and rapists who get overwhelmed on the portion of loss of life in detention middle -- could desire to desire to those criminals get pardoned simply by certainty they have been overwhelmed, too? How is imprisoning a "undesirable cop" a travesty of justice?

Is this recent news? I've heard some where charged. NOw this. This could easily be overturned in an appeal. It would be nice to know who ruled on this case and what the exact details are.
Sometimes breaking the law or the proceeduers is a very cirticle issue and something like that may have happened. Need to know more.
But I have to say, from what you say, I am appauled!

I read about that. It really angered me - and not much angers me any more. I live in Texas, USA and am proud of our soldiers and law enforcement who place their lives on the line, so my family and I can sleep safely at night, and walk in freedom during the day. This is the greatest country in the world (where else are people sneaking into?) because of brave men and women like these two agents. The conviction is a true tragedy, and I'm ashamed for the court system that did it.

The fact of the matter is that we are against illegal aliens because they are ILLEGAL. That is how we justify our anger. So why should we support border patrol agents that committed an ILLEGAL act by firing on someone.

There are reasons this is illegal. I would like to point out a little incident that happened to George Washington, when his troops randomly fired on a French Envoy, sent on a peaceful mission to discuss issues. There was this little thing called the Seven Years War...you may have heard of it?

If we start firing on the illegals, then the Mexican border patrol will start firing at ANYTHING. You don't tug on the tiger's tail. Mexico already treats our LEGAL immigrants like crap.

We don't fire on them because we don't want to start a war.
