Roosters:
Coburn, Doodle, Rocky, Ronald or Harry
Hens:
Penny, Babs, Ginger, Bunty, Cluckles, Mrs Nesbit, Miss Frillydrawers, Lucy, Carol-Ann, Katie, Cathy, Hilary, Hermione, Mrs Weasley, Hortense, Shun, Paris, Nicole.
So .... that's inspired by several films (including Chicken Run), a bit of JK Rowling, some odd sort of imagination & a few celebraties ... but why not name them after characters from your favourite films, cartoons, tv programmes or books?
Or - to make it easy to identify who is who, after some sort of aspect of their individual appearance.
Have fun!

Since you have so many to name, try picking a name category like famous people, Greek myths, or nature names and choosing all the names from that catagory. They'll all be different, but at the same time, clearly related.
I second the opinion that you shouldn't name them if they're headed for the soup pot. I named the animals on my grandma's farm until I had the unhappy experience of digging through her freezer and finding brown paper wrapped packages labeled "Poppy" and "Rosebud."

We have two chooks.
One was a chick when we got her, we watched her hatch from her egg at the local preschool. We named her Jenna which means 'small bird', and her brother - a rooster (who we had to get rid of - read: rehomed to a farm), was named Jalen - which was another bird related name.
Our second chook is named Cassie after one of my daughters school friends. I don't like the name, but it suits her.
Get a baby name book and pick a theme or something. Or run through it and pick out names that seem to 'fit' each chook.
Have fun!

No sorry you are wrong chickens are not always female! i have too much poultry experience to already know that. Chickens are a species! The females are called hens and the males are called roosters! A female under one year is a pullet and a male under a year is a cockerel! Names Penny and Bonita!
