Are you sure you had it in the first place? New computers don't always come with Word or Office installed. However, you can do a search for Word.exe or you can go to your Program Files folder on your hard drive and look for Microsoft Office or Microsoft Word (folders) and look inside those one by one.

You need to install MS word on the new computer. if you don't have a Office CD that means you cant get Microsoft office. You could try using Open Office its a lot like Microsoft Office but its free! It will take a while to download though the file is rather big!

MS Word doesn't normally come installed on new computers unless you've purchased it as an add-on.

If it has been installed then it should be listed when you click the Start button (bottom left). Failing that it is usually installed in Program Files > Microsoft Office > Office and the name of the application start file is winword.exe

If you can't find it then do a search of your hard drive for winword.exe and if that doesn't find anything then it's safe to say it's not installed on your computer and you'll need to install it from disk.

To do a search open Explorer, left click your hard drive (usually C drive), select Search from the drop down menu, type in winword.exe in the search box then click the Search button.

Did you buy and install Microsoft office? If not, then you probably don't have MS Word. Most computers come with Microsoft works instead.

If you had it on your old comnputer you might have the Microdosft office or Microsoft Word disk and you need to re-install it..

If you do not have it you either have to buy it ...or get a copy which of course is not legal...

What you could do is download OpenOffice and install that which provides a free version of sometthin like WORD that you can use for word processing and procuces document/reads documents in WORD like format..

new computers don't ever come with the programs, you have to buy it, it's a cd that you have to install. Although some stores offer a 60 day free trial of the programs, check with the store that you bought your computer at. Also the 60 day trial is a cd to install, but you need to have access to internet, after your 60 days are over, you have to buy it. Try best buy, circuit city, staples, and so on.

Are you sure you had it to start with? Not all computers have MS Word in to begin with. It's not automatically installed at the factory.

Go to your start menu, then go to all programs and look thru the list. If it's installed, it'll be there.

Good luck,

First check whether it is installed in the computer or not (some new computers comes without this programme)

If it is installed, then click Start > programmes > to see the list of programmes installed in your computer, some times you may have to click the down arrow symbol at this location to see the rarely used programmes in your system.

good luck and happy computing
