It depends on the charge.
You might be able to petition the court to have it expunged.
Before you hire an attorney (to save you money) see if you can talk to the court clerk and ask if it has been done with your type of charge.
Either way, unless you are under 18 you have to actively petition the court to remove it, it will not fall off on its own (like a bankruptcy).
I do think that they take into consideration, things like NO MORE CHARGES, so be sure to stay out of trouble.
GOOD LUCK

Your misdemeanor will always be on your record for the rest for your life. Plus, every time you apply for a new job you will have to cite it on the application. You do the crime you do the time

depends on if the judge gives you a deal... sometimes the judge will say something like if you dont get caught doing this for 6 months then it will be off your record like it never happend.. but if you do it then it stays or you go to jail. depending on what it is

Pretty much until the system crashes. You can petition the court after a period of time to have it expunged. The authorities would still be able to see it's there but someone like a potential employer would not have access to the information. Best bet.........talk to a lawyer and see what they can do for you. From what I here it's pretty inexpensive.
