no they wont hit,,i own a repair shop,and do this for a living,,there not an interference engine,,it will be ok just to replace it,,i have done a bunch of these the usually drop out around 175 thousand miles or so,,good luck with it hope this help,s.,happy new years.

The pistons will not hit the valves under normal circumstances as this is not an overlapping motor. There could be a hit if there are other problems with the motor however. Generally, just repair the timing chain and gears and it should be fine. I believe in fixing what you have as used motors, you never know what you are getting into.

The pistons WILL hit and dent the valves. From my experience, you can have the engine repaired, but it never seems to run the same. I would recommend replacing with a good used engine.

it relies upon on no be counted if or no longer the valves protrude as much as now from the heads that they are interior the combustion chamber so as that when the piston is on the acceptable of its stroke, it hits the valve and racks up a trashed engine

Shouldn't bend the valves. There is sufficient clearance between piston and valves.

depends on how hight he rpms were when the belt broke...replace belt, re time, and then you will know..good luck !
if it did, relace it, dont repair it...wont ever be right !!!
