they told me to do my hair and put makeup on for my sister in laws brother mark because i have a crush on him. but i know that he wont get with me because he has a finace thats he's been with for 10 years but nobody likes her. so why did they make me put makeup on

No offense, but the people that you have certain relationships with really don't think about your feelings, just like with your ex and crush playing a video game together. Perhaps your family was just joking, unless they really WOULD go that far to break up a ten year relationship. Put the makeup on to feel good about yourself, not to steal anybody. Don't ruin your relationship with your sister-in-law, her brother, or anyone else for that matter. Maybe, you should ignore some of the contradicting and destructive advice given to you by your family.
