She has begun her heat cycle, which means she is ready to be bred. I take it this is her first heat and she is about six months old. It is extremely dangerous for her to be bred before two years, so keep a good eye on her. If you don't want puppies, I recommend you have her spayed immediately after they cycle. Her cycle will last about three weeks, about one week in she is ready to be bred for the next week, after that she has a week of her body returning to normal. Don't put a ton of faith in those timings though, some dogs can be bred from day 1 of their heat cycle, to the last day. This means that she should be kept away from dogs the whole time. Many dogs will do anything to get to a girl in season, so don't leave her in the yard, and don't leave her behind a baby gate. If you don't want puppies, I highly encourage you to spay her. It saves you a lot of time and energy. Keep in mind that puppies are a lot of work, and are extremely expensive, count on a 600 dollar expense for every puppy in the first eight weeks of life to get it properly taken care of and vaccinated. Expect to have to pay constant attention to the puppies, they take even more care as babies than they do when you bring home a new 8 week old. Also, Boston's are extremely prone to needing C-sections because of the size of the puppies heads, another expensive process. Having puppies is totally your decision, but there is my best advice.

This is simply a case of a dog in heat, which means she is ready for a mate. You can go to a pet store and pick up some pads and undergarments for your dog.they should not be that high,if you can not afford them simply take an old pair of underwear and cut a hole for the tail and put a regular pad in it.Now if the dog is acting sick or if the blood is coming from the anus instead of vagina then the dog is hemorrhaging and needs to see the vet immediately. Also the dog if in heat will start having behavior problems the best thing to do is give her comfort and love ,and show her affection until you can find her a mate.

Your dog is in heat. Make sure you keep her away from other dogs. DO NOT JUST LEAVE HER OUTSIDE UNTIL SHE IS DONE! Otherwise you will have an unwanted litter of puppies in about 2 months! You can go to the pet store and pick up "prissy pants" for her. This is a doggie diaper that helps keep her from making such a mess. But be very careful in using them because of the restriction in air around her genitals, she might end up developing an infection.

Dogs do not get a period they go into heat or season. Your dog needs to be confined away from other dogs. Spay her as soon as the heat is over then no more messy heat cycles. As for a diaper that is up to you I doubt the dog will leave it on.

dogs dont have periods - they come on heat. I doubt if you will keep a "diper" or even a diaper on her - why not try a tampon? Also have you considered having her spayed?
Seriously - if you know so little about dogs I suggest you contact your vet.

And rinse out her canines homestead or her component of the backyard with the hose as quickly as her era ends or extra. If shes an indoor canines then i might propose putting her outdoors in the mean time. And whilst she is interior, use a diaper. i think of they do have them for canines. additionally, in case you do no longer care to have the canines reproduce and characteristic domestic dogs then I propose getting her spayed. maximum animal shelters will do it for loose or great cheep. in case you do desire domestic dogs then it is merely one thing you ought to manage. The puppy Diapers are a existence savour! Theres no longer plenty to do. Its merely organic. You dont ought to do something because of the fact its in comparison to a affliction that needs to be dealt with. good success!

Your dog is in heat, and that means that she's fertile now, very fertile. Keep her indoors. Do not let her out, and just put up with the male dogs that will be coming by. They'll stop when she's no longer in heat.

That is, unless you WANT to be dealing with puppies in a few months.

On, and the word is diaper.

she is in heat and you can cut down an ace bandage, and wrap it gently around her, so the blood doesnt get all over (there shouldnt be to much blood though) or getting her fixed would stop that from happening. Your local pet shelter sometimes offers spaying programs.

there is not much you can really do, except do what you have already done which was put a diaper on. You can get her spayed, which would probably be the best thing to do, unless you want to breed her.
