I never did....
Until...
I worked at Bath and Body Works. This guy came into the store to buy something and I swear my heart exploded in my chest. He was the ONE! I just knew... I didnt get his name or # and I thought I would never see him again. I live in Ann Arbor and lots of people just pass through and it is a big city with a lot of people. Well. I saw him the next day at Ann Arbor's annual Art Fair. Ever since we have gone together like lamb and tuna fish. Perhaps you are more familiar with a spaghetti and meat ball analogy. :)

No. There are many people out there for you. Do you really believe "the one" in the whole world and you just happen to meet, in the same place, out of 6+ billion people in the world. This is a myth, and relationships after the first 2 1/2 years actually start to require work, because the "in-love experience" wears off.

I believe! I believe!
Do you know how many 'the one' I've actually met? Lots...
I'm easy going and can be compatible with just about anyone. Everytime I meet someone and we connect I like to think for that space in time that he was 'the one'.
If he isn't 'the one' now... I believe 'the right one' will show up someday :)

Yes I believe you can meet someone and feel an instant connection and know that they are 'the one', but I also believe it happens so rarely that most people just brush it off as B.S. Until it happens to you it's easy to be skeptical.

lol well im not a trusting person so if i meet someone im not gonna think omg i just met my true love the one for me. lol i might think hmm hes cute but its takes me a long time to trust my self to love a person let alone consider them the one. But i do think that no matter what your flaws are there is always a few people willing to look past or love you for them.

No I don't believe this.
My sister swore up and down that her husband was "the one" and he ended up cheating on her with his female co-worker.
Now I do love my boyfriend and believe that he and I are going to get married and have children one day but I know that if anything was to happen between us (god forbid) I would EVENTUALLY be okay.

Im a bit optimistic and a bit of a hopeless romantic, so yes I believe in "the one". However, sometimes the person you least expect could turn out to be "the one".

No. The idea of "the one" is why the divorce rate is climbing. They jump into marriage thinking that they have "the one" and then get really disappointed when they realize he's just a person and that the relationship takes work.

I'm pretty conservative and pragmatic, but the fact is that my husband of 37 years was "the one". When we eloped my Grandmother apparently said to my mother, "There was never anyone for C... but E..." and I had introduced my Granny to quite a number of my previous boyfriends. So there ya go.

I believe in "the one" theory, but I think there are several "ones" in your life. There are people that you are drawn to for no particular reason. It is a chemistry thing--or a past life or something.
