if anyone knows will vista ultimate have virus protection on it cuz i downloaded the vista compatilbaty program and says i have to uninstall norton anti-virus.

Actually that isn't quite true. The test you ran just says the version you have may not be compatible with Vista AT THIS TIME, but Norton changes just like any other programme, or else it wouldn't work with anything past Windows 3.1. Mind you, Norton is bloatware, so you may want to change programmes when you get Vista anyway..

Well there is windows live one care or whatever you call it I don't think its included with Vista though. But you should be able to install a newer version of Norton on Vista. If you have a really old version of Norton Internet Security it wouldn't have Vista support so of course you couldn't use it. Or it could be the norton program would conflict with the windows vista installation if you chose to upgrade your system instead of formatting your hard drive.

Vista will have Bit Defender an Integrated protection against viruses, spyware and other software, but like any other OS from microsoft it will give headaches

Better to be on safeside. You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
