For rough dry elbows use cocoa butter NOT PALMER'S use Red Fox and also use Johnson's baby oil gel. In about some months you should have the smooth and moisturized elbows you long for.

First this: vitamin A deficiency causes very dry, SCALEY elbows. The skin of the elbow is dry, sort of cracked (scaley) such that you could actually fit the tip of your fingernail under it (ouch). If there is an A deficiency, there might be tiny bumps, like pimples or whiteheads, on the back of your upper arms. The knees and tops of thighs show the same conditions. Ask your doctor (or call a hospital for information) what he thinks about this before taking any supplements.
Then again - try some "A&D ointment", sold for babies bottoms, in the diaper section of a store. Nice ointment ('greasy') for those dry spots.

I actually use Coconut Lime Verbena cream from Bath and Body Works, and it's amazing. I've tried so many lotions that are made for rough and dry skin and nothing has really worked except this. They have many different scents if you don't like this one. Try it! What do you have to lose?

Aveno for the Extra dry skin. It is a miracle worker! I have tried it myself and haven't used anything else since! Aveno lotion. For the extra dry skin. It's in like a tan and blue colored bottle in your lotion section.

Okay here's what you do....take half a lemon and twist in on your elbow.....trust me....it will make your skin smooth.
If your skin is really dry and cracked.....slather on some Vaseline....take a tub sock...cut off the toe part...slip it over your arm and wear it over night. You'll be amazed by the results.

neutrogena lotions are excellent. they are a little pricey but they are thick and really soften up super dry and rough areas.
