You may or may not like my answer....But it works & works VERY WELL!!...You will need the privacy of the bathroom. Bring a small bowl, & a salt shaker with you. Run the water till it's 'warm'....definitely NOT HOT!! Shake some salt in2 the bowl...enough 2 make warm 'salt-water'. Now... Lean over the sink....while closing the 'good' nostril, from the outside...U will 'scoop' up some water w/ your other hand, & 'breathe' it in2 your non-working Nostril. Stay w/ me here....U can sorta call this a 'Nose-Gargle'...the litely-salted warm water' will very soon start to 'break-up' this unwanted blockage. This is not a real pretty site. That's why u r alone in the bathroom. Keep repeating this 'Nose-Gargling'....& soon, u should be free & clear. I would encourage U (& everyone else) to do this @ least once a week....forever. You will NEVER be buying any 'Decongestants' probably won't have any Nose problems...ever. I've not had a cold, runny nose, etc. in over 20 yrs. This cleans out your sinuses & in a gentle way. Don't expect to be able 2 do this perfectly right away...but with some practice...you'll be clog-free & breathing gr8!! One main function of your nose is similiar to the filter on the furnace in your home. It 'cleans & filters' the air we breathe. We are a marvelously well designed machine....lol Let me know how well this works for you...& YES...I'm TOTALLY serious about all this! Your lungs will love u 4 this.... peace....

Get a bowl of boiling water, put a towel over your head and sniff the steam. What I do when I have a stuffy nose is jump with music on, it sounds idiotic I know but it clears up my stuffed nose like instantly. It's temporary but provides instant relief.

I hope that one (at least) of the remedies suggested works for you as a "quick fix". However your nose is just a symptom of an internal issue. All the quick fixes affect only the symptoms.

This could be from an allergy to a certain food, or to something else. It is very difficult to cure allergies.

However, many allergies are caused by CANDIDA. This is a fungus overgrowth that A LOT of people have, including myself. Candida seems to be caused by our modern lifestyle: junk food with lots of sugar and carbohydrates, anti-biotics, lack of sleep, tension. You can check if you have Candida by a simple test called the spit test. For info on this test, see http://www.adhdrelief.com/CandidaTest.html and http://cassia.org/candiscussion.htm.

be well,

Afrin (nose drops) work wonders...also a netty pot (saline and warm water..in a clay pot that looks like a geni might come out..they also have plastic ones..but clay ones work a little better).

vicks vabor rub in a humidifier at bed time also does wonders...and rub it on your chest for a quick relief...

good luck..i hope you feel better..stuffed up nosrils are the worst! Makes eating, drinking and swallowing no fun!

Go buy Afrin 12 hour. It works. Don't listen to any one who tells ou it's addictive. It's not. Over a long period of use it may become less effective.
