I'm looking for good sites, or any info you could provide for me, that can act as an aid in further understanding the Bible. Even very basic things would be a great help(where to begin, what parts can be more easily understood, etc.)

The new testament is very veiled. jesus had to "water" down some of his teaching so the people, just emerging from paganism, could relate to them. Jesus taught the same as a siddha yoga guru and vedanta philosophy, christianity, islam, and budhism have there roots in india. Siddha yoga gurus for thousands of years passed this secret yoga from one guru to the next until 1960 when Swami Muktananda Paramahamsa was told to give it to the world. See his site on net. Its GREAT ! you can take a Bible Prophecy course and get a diploma sent to you after you complete the course. You can watch the video and answer the questions its so much fun ! And the diplomas are so neat for framing.
Your going to love it , there is also a lot of other things to do on there, actually all kinds of things to do.

Faith, a clear mind, and prayer for understanding...and of course, the KJV of the Bible. The ye's and thou's may get you at first...but pray for that understanding, and ask with sincerity. God gives liberally(James 1:5). I'd suggest maybe keeping a journal too, keep track of what you've read, and what the words meant to you.

I would seriously recommend the Charles Stanley daily devotionals found on WWW.INTOUCH.ORG as we find it a really good study tool as well as a devotional

www.e-sword.net has numerous free study tools, commentaries, dictionaries, concordances, etc. i got over $1,000.00 of study materials there for free.... just download them for free..
