alright so on friday morning around 2 a.m., i started vomiting, and it lasted until about 2 p.m. ...my stomach still had a pain in it (i think just from vomiting so much) and today it was still a little iffy feeling but i've held everything down since 2 p.m. yesterday. but in the past two days i've been nervous to eat so i've had 3 saltines and a couple bites of a sandwhich between yesterday and today.

anyways my question is, i'm starting to feel like i'm going to vomit again...is it still the bug (possibly flu?), or just because i haven't eaten? i'm scared to try food and then have it come back up again.

you probably had gastroenteritis.....stomach bug in plain talk
if you have kept the crackers down and part of a sandwich....ok but what you should try is clear soups (like chicken noodle) and 7ups or cokes....ice cubes to chew on for hydration, popsicles..don't drink orange juice or milk.....those don't tend to stay down so easy on an upset stomach....

You could then go to rice, or baked potatoes....nothing fried or spicey for few days...let your stomach settle down
If the vomiting begins again you should contact the doctor and he could give you something for the nausea/vomiting to help relieve you.......or if you just have the slight nausea you can get Meclazine over the counter (Travelers Sickness pills)..ask the pharmacy to help you find it for you.

The "flu" is actually only a respiratory illness, a common misconception. Sounds more like gastroenteritis, which can be caused by many viruses, or food poisoning. Try clear liquids for 24 hours, small amts at a time until vomiting ceases. Then advance as tolerated to bland diet, avoiding dairy. If this persists more than 2 days see a doctor.

It sounds like you've either had a stomach bug or perhaps eaten something that didn't agree with you. If you've not vomited for twenty-four hours, try eating very light foods (toast, light/watery soups, rice, bananas, etc) and see how you go. Have small snacks often rather than a big meal and might to keep up your fluid intake.

If the vomiting returns, I think you'd be best making a doctor's appointment in case you need antibiotics.

It sounds like a stomach virus. They generally last about 24 hours. You should be concerned about getting dehydrated. Try drinking ginger ale, warm coke, or tea, or 1/2 gatorade with 1/2 water. Not replacing the liquids you lost can end you up in the hospital.

There is a nasty stomach virus going around. Start by eating toast and crackers and if you can hold those down. Try some chicken noodle soup. If you hold that down slowly work yourself back into a regular diet. Stay away from milk for several days.
