When you come home from the store, create individual bags by dividing it up into the amount you normally serve and pouring them into smaller freezer bags.

That way, you won't have to deal with the frozen lump that forms when the corn partially thaws and the moisture refreezes.

You may be leaving it out too long, so it's thawing. Pour what you need as soon as you take it out of the freezer, seal if very well, then return it immediately. You can try breaking it apart for the next hour or so after you place it back in, but you probably won't need to do that if you move quickly.

Make sure when you put it back that it is still frozen, and not watery. Put in a new freezer bag and squeeze out all the air before sealing. Shake it a little to make sure the kernels are seperated. That should help.

Perhaps it's thawing before you put it in the freezer and the ice has turned to water and then it refreezes in clumps.
You're going to defrost it before eating it, aren't you? When you do the kernels will separate. You can also hit it to separate it like ice when it freezes into a clump.

The same thing happens with my bag of mixed veggies. What I normally do is just knock the bag a couple of times on my kitchen counter before opening it ... this breaks up that annoying clump to be far more manageable.
