This happens when a windows key is used that havs been used by mutliple people. If you own a copy of windows I would install that. If you own the copy that is on the computer then I would contact Microsoft and show them that you have the Certificate of Authencity . THey will then get you a new code. Most likly if you bought this off of someone they just installed windows and used a stolen key or a key they bought and used on multiple computers with a license for only one computer. IF they told you that you would receieve a copy of windows with the computer then you can go after them because even if it doesnt say it, they must provide a legal copy, if they didnt say anything about windows you can turn off that pop up but it wont update and your computer will not be updated

I do not think that is an add. If it is down by the clock and looks like a blue star - that is Microsoft's detection software at work. Apparently your copy of Windows is probably a second or whatever install. You can't get away with that any more - and still use Microsoft's updates.
However, I have seen some false positives on this. If you are sure that your copy is genuine - the only recourse is to call Microsoft.

I sounds like there might be a problem with the license key that was sold to you. This key would have been typed in by the person that installed Windows for you or by the manufacturer. Go to the web site below and click on validate windows and it'll give you steps/options for fixing your problem legally.

Just simply call windows! This happens to lots of folks. The number should be on your warning. when you call, they will simply give you a new windows password with no questions asked. You enter the password and all is okay.
I'm sure if you have windows it is genuine. they will give you a password anyway.

You get this message because your device failed abode windows actual benefit validation. once you've a legal replica of abode windows, it would want to be that you blocked the ActiveX administration that WGA needs to apply. try doing a guide abode windows replace and note what the priority is with WGA. (A guide replace is once you click on the starting up Menu decision abode windows replace. this may invoke the WGA procedure.) in the journey that your device fails validation, you'd be directed to a internet web site with troubleshooting steps.

Go here to see if your program is legitimate. If it is not, gather all the information you have on the PC: where purchased, date of purchase, etc. then contact the seller. You must take care of this asap or you will not get updates and fixes.
