I don't think we will actually know for sure untill the Lord comes down and tells us, so what religion would have Christ approved of? What would he consider the most pure form of worship? I know there are many people who love the Lord in many religions, but how would Jesus have wanted us to worship?

The one that preaches the truth.

John 3:3-7

3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

How you can be born again?
Acts 2:37-38

37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

That is the true religion.

You said "I know there are many people who love the Lord in many religions, but how would Jesus have wanted us to worship?"
I wouldn't automatically assume that things will be as Christians believe. I also find it laughable that you actually believe that people of other religions believe in your concept of who and what "God" is. I believe there is a word for that, Egocentricity.

I don't assume to know whether or even if the Divine approves of what we humans have been doing.

I live my life from the standpoint of trying to keep moving forward and try to leave the park as clean as it was when I got here. Oh yes, while I'm here, I'll try to learn a thing or three.

To find a religion on which God approves is simple one that is bible based, bible believing, and soul winning, and sharing the truth that the only way to God the Father is through the Son Jesus Christ the Lord. To answer how to worship is easy with our heart and soul. We don't have to be the worlds greatest singer but as long as it comes from our heart thats all it matters. God knows our heart and how we feel. So the next your in church standing next to someone who is a little off key its music to God's ear, because the worship is from the heart.

God welcomes an open honest heart. There are people in every religion who know God and some who never enter a church or claim a certain religion. My definition of worship is how we live and conduct ourselves. Of course, there's a time for prayer and we have grateful hearts but true worship is our daily lives and how we take God into consideration. Each person will have to determine where or if he should be in a church. I could worship with any denomination but not necessarily believe what they do.

Jesus established a Church (Matthew 16:18). He entrusted His flock to the Apostle Peter (John 21:15-17). The Apostles had successors (Acts 1:15-26). Find the Successor of Peter and you will have found the Church Christ established, and you will learn everything you need to know about how to worship Jesus Christ.

The best religion is God's religion. Study it out in your Bible, maybe even with a friend. Jesus would have wanted us to worship the way He did, and the way all of the other Bible heroes did. Try looking at www.bibleinfo.com for some answers if you need them! =) God bless!!

Use your bible as a guide (seriously). Repeatedly true Christians are defined in both necessary actions, and 'fruitages of the spirit'. Or you can look into the history of a religion's ceremonies and actions. Most (if not all) 'religious' contemporary holidays are based on pagan ceremonies and beliefs. Eg. Christmas = Roman Saturnalia. The churches that follow these pagan holidays are false.

(It makes sense if you think about it... the biblical account of Jesus birth makes it impossible for his birth to be in December, the Catholic Encyclopedia admits it readily).

I believe the bible is God's inspired word. We should follow the bible as closely as possible when it comes to worship. Many churches as you may know do NOT follow what the bible says. And the bible says if one is not a lover of the truth God will allow a great deception to come over them and allow them to believe lies.
The apostles had many writings in the bible how they worshipped ie pastors/preachers were to be married with one wife and with children, we are to pray to the one and only mediator to God, Jesus the Christ. This is all in the bible.

We do know for sure since Jesus told us:

" I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life; no man can come to the Father except through me". -- Jesus Christ (Jn. 14:6)

" Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved". (Acts 4:12)

And we have the testamony of the Apostles and the scriptures :
