Cowlicks! EWW HELP!?

I have a straightener that i use almost everyday. When i flip my bangs to one side, theyre fine on that side but i have like little curly crazy bits on eachside right in front. i have the purple sunsilk but it just makes it look dirty. help!

you can hair spray them down, or like I do - shave them
