And which Bowflex machine is the best or does it matter? Are they worth the price they're sold for? Personal experience shared would be appreciated. And if it's so good then why do I always see ads placed for used ones?

They work if you use them. Best thing is go to an Academy Sports near you. They carry Bowflex's. that way you can try them out and see how you like them. And for a lot cheaper than you can buy them off the TV info-mericals I might add.

Hi Juanita! Most people who are serious about strength training and know what they're talking about will never recommend a Bowflex gym. Mainly quality and user safety top the list of complaints, as evidenced by the company's product recall of 420,000 units in 2004 (see http://walking.about.com/cs/gearvarious/a/bowflex013004.htm ). It seems that Bowflex infomercial hype exceeds product effectiveness, especially when you start comparing it to well crafted, quality engineered "selectable" all-in-one gyms at http://www.a2zfit.com/homegyms.htm and free-weight equipment at http://www.a2zfit.com/freewght.htm from a responsible manufacturer like BodyCraft.

With BodyCraft's lifetime warranties on all strength training equipment you can't go wrong... Bowflex can't match that! Our personal favorite BodyCraft gym is the Mini-XPress at http://www.a2zfit.com/bcmnxprs.htm . Also, check out some BodyCraft videos for both the XPress Pro at http://www.a2zfit.com/bcxprspro.htm and the Jones Machine at http://www.a2zfit.com/bcjones.htm . We're sure you'll agree these units meet or exceed any Bowflex units for price, quality, and user effectiveness.

All fitness equipment, at A2Z Fit, comes with some of the best manufacturer warranties in the business, Free shipping, no sales tax (except deliveries to PA), extra discounts, etc. If you have any questions, please let us know. We're here to help you and soon you'll be on your way to your fitness goals!

well i've never tried bowflex but it looks interesting. i dont think it really matters because any machine would be good as long as you think it is. and of course if you made any progress with it. the price is a little too much in my opinion. =T
