I will not answer the phone?

I think you mean that it shows up as anonymous, or private call or whatever, don't you? Look in the front of your phone book, as it might say how you can put a number on your phone---when an anonymous number calls you, an automated voice tells them you do not accept anonymous calls, and if they want the call to go through, they have to unblock their number for that call. Some people block their number from being shown.

In my phone book, it gives the instructions under Caller ID.

If the number is blocked, they'll never reach the answering machine.

You mean you won't answer people calling you if their number does not show up in your caller id? (is that what you meant by "number is blocked?"

If that's the case, how about:

Hi... Thank you for your call. Please know that I will only answer or return calls from people who do not block their name or number from caller ID. Otherwise, please leave a message and I will retun your call.

No polite way to let them know. If you are in a phone stalker situation, you may need to write to or tell the person directly to stop bothering you.

if you have blocked their number then they cannot ring your phone to get to your answering machine.

if u blocked them, I don't think they will be about to get to your answering machine
even if they were able to get through, why would u want them to know that u blocked them?
it will be rude and hurtful

hey suckers, if your still wasting money on this line, please note, you have officially being had, yep the person has changed phone numbers already and the staff here at virgin mobile, would like to notify you this, so you can stop wasting your cash and spend it wisely on something else, like a floating giraffe or the solar powered torch, thanks for your patience. And remember the virgin logo, virgin by name but not virgin by deeds.

Why bother? They know it's blocked. If they want to talk to you, they'll try again

DON'T THINK I'D DO ANYTHING. JUST LET IT BE BLOCKED. YOU DON'T HAVE TO TALK TO ANYONE THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO. IT'S YOUR CHOICE.
