I agree with these other posters - Go see your perscribing doctor ASAP as there has been a great deal of attention given to this type of meds and depression/suicide. Secondly you HAVE to stay away from the drugs and alcohol. People with disorders such as ADHD respond to things differently than others I.e. Stimulants act as depressives, etc. Continuing the illicit recreational agents negatively react with your brain chemistry and that is only leading you to trouble.
The first step is recognition and identification that there is a problem. Before something tragic happens, use this knowlege and seek professional help even if it means going to the ER.

It really sounds like you have more problems than just ADHD. It sounds like it might be closer to depression or some sort of bipolar disorder.
The best thing for you to do, is to get back on your medications. They were prescribed to you for a reason. You might not like taking them, but you do have a chemical imbalance in your head whether you like it or not, and the meds are there to restore that balance as much as it can. I know what it is like not wanting to take my medications regarding ADHD. I have it as well, but I have learned to cope with it and deal with it on a daily basis. It his hard each and every day for me, but I do not have the same problems you do.
Go see your doctor and tell him about your suicidal thoughts, the fights, and whatever other problems you might be having right now and while you were taking the medications. He might be able to determine if you are just not coping well without the meds, or he might prescribe you a different medication and add some for some depression.
I hated taking the meds too, but I have to admit they do make a difference. Also you should look into not drinking and doing the drugs as much, or at all. They will have severe results on how your chemical balance in your brain works. Especially how it will react to the medications you are taking. That might be a cause in everything all in itself.
Good luck...

Well I don't know how that medication really works on ADHD
patients. But to me and this is just my opinion, stop drinking
and stop getting high that does not solve anything. As for Suicide
why in the world would you want to hurt yourself, when you could
better yourself, isn't that what your asking for, is help? Fight doesn't solve anything either so try to stay cool. Why don't you
hang with someone that will show you a good time. Think positive
and be positive. Remember no one is out to get you, we are here
to help you, okay there can be some A88 holes out there, but
what you need to ignore them or at least try to ignore them. my
nephew was the same way and always got into trouble in school
thought that everyone was out to get him even the teachers and
I believed him, until I seen how he was twisting the story around
we would just have to help him. he would get in fights as well
and I would always have to keep him away. The Dr. tried to put
him on medication and I refused, I didn't want him to get hooked
on the medication. he was 12 then and now he is 19 and doing
better. You too can accomplish your ADHD if you just stop
and rethink things over and start all over, at least just the personallity part of your life, just think positive and hang around with positive people and do all the fun things you been wanting to
do all your past few years. Go for it have fun, Good Luck Dude!!
Remeber you can do it!!

Start by putting good stuff in your body instead of bad. The National Institute of Mental Health did a study (artificial dyes, preservatives, etc.) and found that balanced nutrition is good for ADHD brain function (the other stuff didn't matter). In another study they found that exercise helps too. (The Dog Whisperer uses it to suppress aggression in dogs, might work for us too?)
Also try the local drug store's health supplement aisle or a Health Food store. They have supplements/vitamins for Attention and for Focus. They help feed the brain with the things it needs to produce the neurochemicals that our ADHD brains are short on. Besides, it is cheaper than daily energy drinks.
Meds are good when monitored by a competent doctor. The doctor can help with your other symptoms too.
Watch out with druging yourself. People like us tend to find that stimulants make us feel normal/alive, but we can make the mistake of saying to ourselves "if a little is good, a lot has gotta be better" and that kind of thinking is bad & can get us hooked. Alcohol is a depressant that can make some people mean. It might be a good idea to stay away from it for now.
Prayer helps, couldn't hurt.

Please see your Doctor. There maybe different meds. they can try. I promise your Dr. can help you just be honest and tell him exactly how you feel. My brother committed suicide and we didn't have a clue he was that depressed. If someone would have told him to please seek help maybe he would still be here. Your life is beautiful and many people love you no matter what the situations are. Your family will be there for you. Sometimes we have chemical imbalances that can be controlled with meds. and we can feel good and function. Many people have to take meds and there is nothing wrong with this. The world is full of stress and we sometimes have to take stuff to help. You will get straightened out. I will say a prayer for you because god is my strength through tough times like these and I hope you feel better soon. Bless You

That's a tough decision. If I were in your shoes I'd continue to take the medicine, but tell the person who perscribed it exactly what it is I don't like about the medicine.
I'd also tell that person everything else in this question. You might want to bring this up to a close friend. It may be embarassing at first, but it feels good after you tell friends things such as this.

coming off the meds quickly can have bad side effects and make your moods and violence worse so i would suggest continuing on them until you have to. tell your doctor you want to come off them and if its possible you can come off them more slowly and not feel the bad effects of it. but i don't think it could make you this depressed alone, i think you also are in a separate depression and coming off the meds is just making you feel worse and getting drunk and high makes you feel better at that time but it will make you feel even more depressed when you come down. please tell someone how you are feeling, a close friend or family member and get help to feel better then you wont need to do all this ****. good luck with it all.
