The Bible is full of metaphors and Resurrection is one of them. Here is an explanation based on the Bible. There are many others but it is best to keep this answer short.
By death it is usually meant SPIRITUAL death not physical death. When one of the disciples of Jesus invited Him to go to the burial of one of his relatives, He said no! And then added "Let the dead bury the dead." This is an episode known to everyone. It is obvious that physically dead people can not bury other physically dead people. So the obvious meaning is, let those who are SPIRITUALLY dead, but do have a physical life, bury those who are physically dead. Now the question is who is a spiritually dead person? At the time of Jesus, that is approximately 2000 years ago, it was all those who did not accept Him and did not follow His teachings. So He calls them dead although they were obviously living. Then who will be the dead in His Second Coming and who will RESURRECT? It will be just as the first coming. Those who recognize Him and accept His teachings will be those who will RESURRECT in a spiritual sense. And those who do not recognize Him will be the spiritually dead, that is although having a physical life they are considered spiritually dead.
This raises again a new question that is, why is a person considered spiritually dead if he doesn't recognize a Manifestation of God, in this case Jesus? But this is no more part of your question and would lengthen the answer.

No.
Your wholely on the wrong track, or you don't know the power of God.
You do NOT (I repeat) NOT die again when the Second Coming happens.
There are two deaths a person can go through.
1. Death on this planet
2. Everlasting Seperation from God (aka Hell)
Born again means a New Creation on the inside. The old sin nature that we inherited, since Adam and Eve, is gone, and a new nature made by Christ with the Holy Spirit.
Born again is NOT physical.
(for more info see John 3)

the resurection is true, but only 144,000 people will go to heaven, the rest stay on earth, and those who die will be resurected. Only those who died, were resurected, and died again because being disobedient to god, have a second death, and therefore will not be resurected.

The rapture... Revelation 4:1-2 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
shew Gen 41:25, Dan 2:29, Dan 2:45
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
To be resurrected is to be raised from the dead,Just as Jesus was resurrected three days after his crucifixion and burial, and which will also happen to those at the rapture, to those who are the "dead in Christ".
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
They are the people who believe in the coming of Jesus who died before He was crucified, and they lived by God's laws and are awaiting Jesus return in the bosom of Abraham.

Paul says that those who die in Christ will be with Jesus when He returns, and will get their resurrection body then.
He said this to folks who were worried about their friends and relatives who were dieing before Christ returned, since in the early days of the church, they assumed that He would return quickly.

Don't know, how we can possibly be resurrected, when Jesus couldn't even get there without hitching a ride on some pigeon.
