No one can tell you whether smoking pot is right or wrong for you. We are supposed to follow the laws of the land. It is against the law, but I personally think it's safer than alcohol. If at any time you feel like smoking pot is coming between you and God, then you should consider an alternative. It sounds like you may be feeling a little convicted. Do some soul searching and find out what God would have you do.

You should become a Christian because you love the Lord, not because you want to stop smoking pot. Being a Christian is about so much more. Becoming a Christian alone isnt going to make your addiction go away. But, God can give you the strength to break your addiction.

The only 'miracles' I've ever observed are those espoused by former alcoholics and drug addicts who have completed a 12 Step Program.
The 12 Step Program require that you admit that you are not in control and submit to a higher power. This a cornerstone of the philosiphy.
Christianity is not a requirement, but is often a result, but simply converting will not do it alone. There are plenty of alcoholic Christians.
No, God isn't going to do it for you. It's something you have to take up, but feel free to give God all the credit when you're done. Seems like a popular choice.

It might. It all depends on whether you made a choice to use the free will that God has given you to stop smoking pot. A consistent effort will be required regardless if you are a Christian or not.

No, becoming a Christian, or devoting yourself to any religion should motivate you to become a better person and lead a better life. There will be no miraculous transformation, the effort will be yours based on living a Christian life and respecting the body as a temple.

I don't know if becoming a "Christian" can break your addiction, although I do believe that religion in general can help. I don't however, believe that it is enough just being a member of a religion. I've known a couple of people that came for VERY religious backgrounds and they still got caught up in doing drugs. More than anything you have to WANT to quit and you HAVE to have faith that you CAN quit. Religion can certainly open doors to you if you are looking for a support group or even a supporting higher power. Ask yourself WHY you are trying to quit. Is it for yourself or for someone else? Do you want to quit or are you being forced to? It's ok to want to quit for someone as long as your first priority is to quit for yourself.

I was addicted to alcohol and drugs for forty years. With the strength that Jesus Christ gave me, I was able to break the addiction. I have finally been set free from the stronghold of addiction and I have a real life now. I got the help that I needed from a Christian website that provided me with a one on one mentor. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

No...only you can help you quit smoking pot. It has to be something you really really want. If you don't want to quit, then no god in the universe is going to be able to help you. It's time for you to step up and start taking responsibilty for your own actions.
