If you are mature, consenting adults, then having sex is your choice...first date , second date, etc...having sex too soon can toss a wrench in a potential relationship so it's always safer to wait if you have hopes of things developing, but having it early on isn't "wrong" in any way...just may not always be the best judgement call...

if it might get serious and you want it to get serious, it means that you will have the opportunity to have lots and lots of sex during your relationship, so waiting a little bit more in the beginning would be a good idea. If you give in too easily you might have him think that you are easy to get, and as you know: easy come, easy go!
So if you wanna keep him for long, keep your legs crossed a little longer. Doesn't mean that you cannot kiss. If he insists you can show him with a nice kiss, that you do like him, and if he likes you he will wait. If he is not serious it will be easier for you to discover, cause he will be annoyed that he cannot get you into bed.

To be BLUNT and HONEST after I read this the first thing I thought was: WOW she is easy. Sex is suppose to be something special between two people. How special can it be if you only know the person "fairly" well and have only hung out one time before this. But then again you said you're "not even close" to being a virgin--- so sex obviously has no special meaning anymore. Its just something that is done.
What is so hard about waiting til you know him WELL? Or waiting to make sure your friendship will go down the dating path?

Not necessarily, but why not find out if it gets serious before having sex? Go out a couple more times - it's not that much longer to wait. That way you will know whether it is meant to be or not. You've only been on one date - you can't know if it will get serious or not.

Listen you needed more time to get to know him. Now you and him are going to have problems in the relationship I am not judging you. But your date might not trust you in the future, he will be a jealous boyfriend because he knows how fast are you. So try to keep a open honest relationship with him and be close with him.

If you think it might be serious all the more reason to wait longer than the second date. In my book, second date is too soon, no matter what.

I would say to wait. Even though you are not a virgin (and he isn't either), it's better to hold off sex until you are married. Besides, there is that ol' risk of getting STDs... totally not cool.

I wouldn't say it was wrong but it certainly isn't very smart. Talking to someone doesn't mean you know them all that well. And you've just made yourself look "easy". I can't imagine what he has told friends and family about you...then again yes I can imagine.
