arg everyone has given me ideas that involve blow drying or that are time consuming or that cost a lota money. i also am not interested in anything permanent that will last like 6 months. i want something i can put in my hair everyday that is not time consuming and not a lota money. just like some gel i leave in overnight or whatever. i dont blowdry my hair i just leave it and it dries on its own...

There's a product called EasyStraight.
It can be found in drugstores.
It's about $30.

Unfortunately, there's no quick (or cheap) fix for changing your hair texture. It's part of who you are. You can't permanently change your eye color, hair color, or skin color. You can't "fix" curly hair, because there's nothing wrong with it.

I'd reccommend becoming more comfortable with your curly hair. That's the easy, cheap fix.

Not many. Relaxers like sodium hydroxide (the chemical in traditional relaxers) are damaging to the hair, like many chemical processes. They have less damaging methods like the new "Japanese Ceramic" straightening method, which is gonna set you back several hundred bucks. There is another straightening treatment made by "Chi" that works well, and is less expensive than the ceramic - ask around at local salons to see what services they offer.

Other than flatironing, which as you know is time consuming, there are a lot of hair products that give people with thick curly hair an opportunity to love their hair again, instead of having to drench your hair with tons of mousse or gel to make it managable and non-poofy but also making it crunchy. Bedhead makes a line of "Curls Rock" products, and Enjoy also has a straightening liquid that makes hair soft, and straightens it a lot when blowdrying with a brush (not like flatironing it, but nothing's magic out there.) They also have a luxury shampoo and conditioner for people with thick as hell hair and makes it feel and look really nice. Maybe you wouldn't mind your curls it they were soft? It's always an option. I'm sure there are other products out there that are just as good, as straighening hair is one of the most asked for services at a salon.

Good luck!

Blow drying with a boar brissle round brush. Taking 2 inch section and starting at the root, working from the bottem to the top--in other words, the hair thats underneath first. Hold the hair taunt and blow from root to tip. Never ever against the grain of your hair. Oh, and use a light wieght smoothing cream like Matrix Sleek look smoothing styling cream from root to tip of your hair prior to the blow out.

Good luck, sweetie!

John Frieda Frizz-Ease Syrum. I used it before it was popular (or so heavily advertised), and it worked really well for me. Apply it to wet hair and blow-dry for a straight look, let it air dry for curly.
