It seems to me they think you are "swinging the lead"
I would ring your manager and tell him you are coming back because you cannot see the Doctor for another week and you were only involving the doctor because THEY insisted you did to get a Doctors note (which incidentally you DO NOT NEED by law untill AFTER 5 days absence. If no Joy, ring your HR and ask for an explanation.

My advice would be this as long as your employer is well aware of ur illness then they do not have the right too dismiss unless ur work as slipped since these attacks have begun.go see ur doctor and if ur gp belieives u r sick enough too stay off work he will provide with a sick note however if he doesnt then simply explain this too ur employer and u should b back at work in no time.
however it might be a good idea too pay a visit too ur local solictors too find out where u doo stand with reguards too ur employment statis because of ur mental illness...
ur employer may just be playing it safe with u and makeing sure that u are actually well enough too return too work...
take this time too relax while you can and if it does turn out that u r being dismissed from ur job dont panic a solictor will be able too tell u if u have grounds too lanch a appeal on ur behalf agasinst ur employer if they are indeed going too dismiss u..
one last bit of advice try not too let this whole situation overwhelm u because at the end of the day u have a illness and are takeing meds too help u with this illness ur not doing anything wrong...these panic attcks happen when u are under stress so try not too over analyse the situation u r in because that will just make u panic more...see what ur gp says when u visit him then go from there.

I had disciplinary hearings, when i had been off work alot for stresses related IBS after a court case i went through after being sexually abused from one of my previous bosses, i had a month off with a Dr certificate and a few more weeks off but they had days apart instead off just having a full week off because i felt the pressure of having to go to work in case i have more hearings etc in total i had 2 hearings that resulted in a verbal warning and written warning i was on my last warning anymore and i would have been sacked so i handed in my notice before they could sack me.
I was told by the guy that gave me my discaplinary hearings that even if someone had cancer they would treatt it the same way and also said that my dr's certificate did not count.
For the illness i had was stressed related the more they put me under pressure etc the more ill i got.
I will say thought that they cannot sack you, it will have to go past 3 disacplinary hearings first, and in my eyes its like being interrogated, and i know what that feels like after going through the courtcase.
Dont worry about it at all, they have no right to sack you over this, and if they do somthing that you think is wrong or unfair you have the right to take them to a tribunaral.

Hi I work for an employee rights company.
First of all, and most importantly, you cannot be sacked due to this!
Second of all you have a doctors note, that is your jobsaver, as long as you have a doctors note for your time off, you cannot be sacked! If you were to be sacked you would appeal and win!
email me with the name of your company and i will help you more!

I don't know. If they are paying for you to get a therapy course, I doubt it. Just think about how they treat you. If it is in a nice, caring and concerned manner, then they won't do anything to hurt your career. Just talk to your boss and others. Keep in touch with them and offer to do some work at home if that is possible or to come in to help out.

You need to worry more about your health right now.
If you are sacked, so what? you will find another job. They can't terminate you for medical reasons. If they try you have the right to sue.
stop freaking out over **** you can't control, and only worry about the things you can't after you have done all you can to resolve them, OK? Chill out man! It's all good!

make sure you document all things they tell you and all things that you say to them
As a person with a problem they can not sack you if you are sick and they tell you to take the time off. I would also consult a lawyer, to see if you could sue them if they sack you for your illness.

sounds like they are looking after you and being a caring company because you said that they are paying for your teatment. seek professional advice from a lawyer but my guess is don't worry and get better and stay at home until you are better. your health is very important.
