I'm half arab, half ethiopian and definitely not Christian; but does anyone else feel its like way overboard the nonsense Christianity gets balmed for. And white people. Can't anyone think of anything good they did: feeding orphans, spreading medecine around, anything.

My real question is two fold: Why is it people like to bash Christians and white people, and why am I allowed to act offended at the word n!gG0r, even though I'm not really from a group ever called that; but white people can't get people fired for saying redneck?

Hey Cutiepie, ever think if youe weren't such a bigot that "shoving it down your throat" wouldn't seem more like, "sharing an idea with me." Ahulah Akhbar, cutie, your the biggest religious fanatic here so far.

And thank you Angela for finding the need to degenerate into an emotional recap of all the crimes ever committed by a white person since Creation until now. If you think white people did anything worse than any other people, it's because the white people made a nice country for you to live in so you never had to see Africa. I have.
And darling, it would be weird of me to see myself as an African American. I'm not American, and was born in Asia. how a racist would view me doesn't matter to me. I don't let fools determine my identity or give me a persecution complex, and that's coming from someone who lived in a Palestinian refugee camp for 12 years. You should try my approach sometime.

I can't answer to the white people part, because I haven't noticed it, in the categories I have been visiting. But the Christian thing I have noticed quite a bit. However, as far as I have observed, there is no mystery. People don't get upset with Christians because they disagree with the tenets of the Christian religion. People do get upset...most of the time...because many, many Christians have this annoying, arrogant attitude that they are the only ones that are right in their beliefs, and the rest of us are going to hell, unless we start believing as they believe before it is too late. There is a bit more to it than that, but that is the primary complaint that most non-Christians have against Christians. That attitude really makes people angry, after awhile, because it is such a harmful, hateful, and condescending attitude, and there is no love in this attitude, only a sense that they just need to be right and feel superior to the rest of us.

The teeming masses of fools are constantly warring in this manner.

I am sick of people bashing Christians and White People, but no more than I am sick of those same Christians and White people bashing others.

People like to bash Christians and whites because they are the majority. As a majority in a democracy, they impose the will of the majority on other minoritys. This is not something I belive to be conspiracy or willfuly of malicious intent, but simply a fact of people acting in the interest of what is best for themselves.

Some toes get stepped on in the process and some people make a big fuss about it.

As well they should, it's completely within their rights. However, the sort of slandering and hatred I see expressed, more or less equaly from all sides, I think is more of an indication of a feeling of being wronged coupled with a mind that lacks the compasity to resolve it logicaly.

In any case, I certianly do not and would not expect people to stop being stupid anytime soon.

Christians don't spread medicine around, feed the hungry, and so on alone. There are other religions who do that too. It's mainly the over zealous Christians who keep shoving their religion down other people's throats instead of a hamburger or give them something that they really need. Also, not all white people, thankfully, are considered rednecks. They can be cityslickers, country bumpkins, and so on. By the way, for any white people who read this... I AM WHITE TOO SO DON'T START SAYING THAT I'M A RACIST BASTARD. Just thought I should say that before continuing. :) Also, redneck is not a racial slur. The N word is. I doubt that honky is taken seriously though because of it. But the reason that white men aren't given as much fuss over is because they are usually the ones causing it. Since we are the majority, we tend to set up a rule or two, but we're starting to get more altruistic about it, so don't worry. Although, I think that TV could do with less stereotyping. As far as I can see, that's a form of prejudice. Oh well. That's life.

Christians get bashed because of a few Fundamental Evangelical types. There are good Evangelical Christians, but a lot of what we hear about on the media are hypocritical hate preachers. White people get picked on because it the society's norm now, and because, as always, there some small group of jerks that make us all look bad. I feel sorry for Christians. They're in the same spot as Muslims; getting bashed for the actions of a few people who do not understand their religion. Pretty much every Abrahamic religion gets bashed, except for Judaism because at the moment, its not politically correct and its not in style. In a couple of decades it will switch to someone else. It's a sad cycle.

I'm sick of prejudice, period! We are all equal in the eyes of God. Some people have only progressed as far as third grade intellectually. Prejudice is the result of ignorance. If you want to fight prejudice, learn as much as you can so you can help educate the dumb bells who think they're better than everyone else. This brings to mind a poem that was written in my high-school year book. It was meant as an insult, but it does have a message: "When you grow old and think you're sweet, take off your shoes and smell your feet." What that rhyme means is that the facade most people are under is very fragile. Those who think they are so superior to others are in for a rude awakening. So if prejudice bothers you, just ignore it and consider the source. Rise above it, if you can. Good luck!

I am a black Christian... You know my first reaction was to frown at most of your questions but you are allowed your personal feelings. As far as folks blaming Christians for anything, I'd have to admit I don't know what you're talking about. All religions are attacked in some way. White people being blamed... I only blame people for what they do. Some folks may blame whites for things thier ancestors did in the past. Unfortunately alot of whites seem to be proud for things their ancestors had done in the past because they feel like they came out on top. They don't share the shame humiliation as other miniorities (blacks, indians, asians, etc...). They stole and murdered alot of people to get what they wanted. From a humanity prospective I would think they would be ashamed but yet some embrace it.
( I said some)... I could go on and on about the down low discrimation that does occurs by whites against minorities but I feel like I'd be wasting my time with you. It's actually nice to know that you have really good friends and have a sampathy for others, but know the history first and try to have some understanding. I too have many friends from most cultural backgrounds and I treat them good and they give me the same curteousy.
You said that you're not African American and that's fine, but did you know that a white racist would not differ you from us simply because your skin might be darker or that you may resemble us in features? You saying that you're not from this group is like saying you're glad you're not from that group. Who are you saying this for? It doesn't make you any better, just lucky I suppose because you don't have to endure the humilation that comes from our past. I'm not trying to offend you. However I will say that you really should pay attention to history and try and have an understanding for the whole. Your questions then could be answered by yourself.

Same reason I cannot say Paki to mean a Pakistani, but anyone can call me a Brit. It is all dreamt up by white liberals who feel (condescendingly I feel ) that they are speaking for the poor non whites who have it so bad from us nasty whites. The French can wave a flag patriotically, but a Brit cannot as it suggest the evils of empire and we may offend' by it. We cannot say the 'N' word but Hip Hop artists can plaster their CD album covers with it. You can have a 'Black Police Association' but this is to counter the overwhelmingly white police force, to have a White Police Association is racist and not considered. As an employer I cannot discriminate against someone who is non white, but I can 'positively discriminate' against whites to help the imbalance of ethnic representation. These are all white man's laws nurtured out of some warped 'guilt' at being white. I find it winds up the majority of white people against non whites out of resentment and if I was not white I personally would be insulted that liberals treat non whites like children who 'need looking after'..

Ha! Good question!
It's ok to bash them because they are the majority and it is always ok to bash the majority (aka the 'man').
And you make an excellent point about all the good done by christians in developing nations. Other religious groups probably do tons of good too, but in the U.S. I only hear about the christians and the kibuttzes (?sp).

I'm white. I never bother with people who call me redneck. I don't really care, neither should you if anyone call you a racist word, why should it bother you? After all these are only words and those who imply it are no more than ignorant people of which we have more than enought of them in this world. Hear it from a redneck my brother ;)... With hopes that a world come that people in it don't see our colours =)

Christians do alot of good. But, there is always a catch to it----to get converts. Follow Jesus and we will give you food! Yak-yak-yak.

Rednecks are big jokes--------they are actually proud of the term, and what it means. Why, I do not know why. I think it would be embarrassing.
