You will be filing as married filing joint. You will need to report the W-2 income from his first job, and his new job. You will also receive a statement from unemployment that shows the unemployment benefits he received. This will need to be reported on your tax return as the unemployment benefits are considered taxable to him.

You will need W-2s from both jobs and whatever documentation is given for unemployment. I don't know if the unemployment is taxable (I think it is), but you will at least need to know the amount. If you had any income, you need those documents as well. If you bought a home, you may be able to claim some costs paid at closing as itemized deductions. Without knowing all of the potential deductions, I can't say they would exceed the standard deduction.

All your W-4's, (or are they W-2?) documents stating ALL sources of income, bank interest statements, the correct tax return forms with manuals, a calculator. You'll need to decide whether you want to file married filing separately or married filing together.
