I feed her that Science Diet for Puppies thats what she lady gave us for her shes been eating that since shes had her. But she never specified HOW MUCH? I am trying to get her on a schedule but I need to know how much to feed her I know 3 times a day right? And does anyone know the average weight a 7 week old Jack russels suppose to weigh?!Oh yeah also can anyone tell me how I can make her feel more comfortable shes has Kennel Cough shes on Medication now from the Vet but I feel so bad beacause shes sick and coughing all the time. I know she just has to fight it out but does anyone one know how I can make it "easier" on her. I feel so bad that cough seems like it would hurt bad. Please Help

Feed her what is reccommended on the package of food for her weight. The scientists and veterenarians at the feed companies research this very carefully so its usually a good amount. If you are not certain though, ask your vet. I would also reccomend asking your vet about the weight thing and the kennel cough or e-mailing the American Kennel Club or your local humane society. All three are great resources and are more than happy to answer your questions. After all, they are in the buisness of ensuring happy, healthy pets. If you don't have time to research though, I reccommend keeping the dog in a room with a humidifier with vicks in the vapor cup, just like you would with a human child. I do this with my dogs when they are sick and it eases their breathing a lot.

since you don't know what she's mixed with no one will be able to give how an answer as to how much she should weigh. have you taken her to your vet for a check over yet? they should be able to give you instuctions as to how she's doing, and if not she needs to be seen this week. on the bag of the food, there's feeding instuctions as to how much, yes divided up into 3 daily feedings is best for her, and just go by how much she weighs right now. as for the kennel cough unfortunatly, waiting it out is the best course. maybe an humidifier with no medicines in it would help to losen some of the congestion. if you could keep it in the same room with her? good luck

Treat the Kennel Cough like you would croup in babies. Take her into the bathroom and run a steam shower. She needn't get wet just the steam will help with the cough. My current puppy didn't have Kennel Cough but years ago I had a puppy with Kennel Cough and this is what the vet recommended.

3 times a day is great. Give 2-3 times the normal dosage for a growing puppy. If it says 15lbs dog feed 1 cup, then give about 2. At that age they will tell you how much they need. If she cleans her bowl then add some more and if she doesn't finish it leave it for later.
For the cough, I would say the best thing you can do is just give her a warm place to cuddle up. You can always feed her warm water to soothe her throat.
Good luck!

She should get about 1/2 cup 3x a day. Any dog food she eats should have the first 3 ingredients as a meat product. The better the dog food, the less poop you have because she uses more of the food instead of it becoming waste. Give her a heating pad set on warm. You can get them with the auto shut off after an hour. I set mine on the lowest setting, warms them up but it shuts itself off. As far as weight goes.... it will depend on what she is mixed with.... there is no way of estimating without knowing the other parentage.

You would have to look on the bag to see how much to feed, and I am not sure how much a puppy of that mix would weight. To help her coughing, go get a vaporizer or humidifier and keep in in the room that the puppy sleeps in, it help quite a bit. It makes it easier for them to breath and helps break up all of the mucus in her nose.

I was told to feed our puppy as much as he would eat in a half hour. Whatever was left we put away until the next meal time. It works out well for us.
Run a humidifier to help ease her breathing.
