I've been going out with this guy for 2 months now.He says (or said) he's in love with me.But today we fell out because as a joke, I said, 'I'm dumping you' and he took it seriously.I saw that what I said was stupid-I dunno how I come up with things like that and make them sound so serious-so I tried to apologise but he decided to block me on MSN and not answer my calls.I started to feel really bad until he finally unblocked me just to say 'stay out of my life,I don't care about you blablabla'.And this just made me laugh coz he obviously didn't care that I was sorry and that I wanted him back.So I laughed at him.And left the conversation. And then, an hour later, he called me.I picked up and when he said,'I'm sorry' I could hear that he'd been crying. And for some reason, I almost burst out laughing. He wants me back, an I just don't know what to do.He was stupid, but he cried for me.And I don't imagine us together forever but I liked having him for now. Sort of. I'm confused.HELP please!

I read your posting a couple of times before it dawned on me that this may well be an internet relationship and that you have never actually met this guy . It would make sense of the fact that when you said, in a joke, that you were dumping him, he took it seriously, becasue that is what happens on the internet - you can't read the body language nor hear the tone of voice. It might also explain to those of us who are completely confounded by your behaviour, why you seem to want to laugh at the poor guy's misery - to you he is not a real person, with real feelings, but is merely a pixelation on a screen.
Tell me I am wrong. And leave him alone. There are lots of crazies on the net who will be entertained by your games.

I'm actually surprised that he was sorry after you pulled that joke on him. It seems like he is really sweet and is sort of sensitive, but sometimes you need a guy to have a soft side. I think that if you still like him you should definitely get back with him because it seems like he thought about it and he realized that he wants you to be part of his life and he can't stand being mad at you. But you also said that you don't imagine you being with him forever, and when it's time to break up again if you guys go back out he will probably be devastated. I hope you make the right decision and I hope I helped.

Its sounds like he is more serious in this relationship than you are. And you wanting to laugh after it sound like he was crying is not a good sign. I would probably leave this man to find someone better your not right for him. and you even said you dont' think you'll be with him for ever but he'll do for now. I'd set him free and let him find a girl who will appreciate him for him and not laugh at him or kid around that she wants to break up with him. You are both different in that area. He's more serious for you and your more of a kidder.

Let me see now, first you say something stupid and then he says something stupid. Then you say something stupid and .......
Gosh, it sounds to me like both of you are too immature.
Maybe you should both wait a little longer until you grow up a bit more. I am not trying to be sarcastic, maturity or lack of it is normal when you are young. Just don't let your immaturity mess up your lives.
In a couple years you will know much better about how to deal with him.

do the world a favor and not get into a co-dependent dysfunctional relationship with an emotionally unstable person. two months is not that long for you guys to be acting like an old married couple on the verge of divorce. let it go.

You're confused, but you made him a lot more confused. My ex liked to hear me cry for her, cause i guess she saw how much i loved her, at the same time she thought it was a weakness. She was confused too, now i'm much happier without her. Please leave him alone if you don't love him, or at least tell him honestly exactly what you wrote:"I don't imagine us together forever but i like being with you for now."

Why are you messing around with someones feelings? I know you found it funny, but it's best not to laugh if you know he has been crying. I think you should spplit up, you are like chalk and cheese.
