I agree with Kinacl. The headache alone could be stress-related, but if you had a fever with it, then you either have bacteria or a virus causing problems, and you should probably see a doctor for that. It could get worse (meaning more uncomfortable).
She's suggesting Ibuprofen (Motrin) for your headache and fever, but I think you'll probably feel more comfortable with Tylenol (Acetaminophen).
I usually feel better with Acetaminphen if the problem causes a fever.
I take Ibuprofen for headaches that are caused by stress or muscle aches & pains/strains because it's anti-inflammatory, Tylenol isn't anti-inflammatory, but it's a great fever reducer.
You probably won't croak, but seeing a doctor will ensure you get well quickly. Until then, get plenty of bed rest and drink lots of fluids. I prefer Gatorade because it helps restore salts.

I have headaches like that sometimes. I have found that superhydrating is essential. I drink gatorade for this, myself, because water doesn't seem to do it for me when I'm like that. I drink 2 of the rather large bottles (48 oz) and that helps me a feel a lot better right away. Then I take excedrin or motrin, and I rest in a room with as little light as I can get and finally I put a cold pack (ice pack or one of those gel things you can put in the fridge) on my head. Works everytime, though it sometimes takes a couple of hours to feel the effects.

I'm a nurse. Your headache could be from stress and/or tension. You need something for this from a doctor. Also with the fever it could also be a virus or simply a flu bug. I would see a doctor to get something for your discomfort. Do you have a fever now? You need to take some ibuprofen to get that fever down, this isn't good. Please see the doctor, don't suffer. You are worth good quality care, and that's a doctor, see one.

I'm guessing that you're probably just run-down with a flu bug or something, and/or stressed out over the holidays.
If the headache doesn't go away in a couple days, though, I'd go see a doctor. It's probably not serious, but you won't know for sure unless you get it checked out.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information
