and i'm not talking about the busch brothers! NO drivers leaving! read the story if you don't know much about nascar.

i read somewhere that possible sponsers for the series are Wal-Mart, Samsung, and Subway. could you imagine going from the Busch Series to the Wal-Mart Series? no matter what the new name is i think everyone will still call it the Busch Series just because it's been that way for many years. if the name wasn't based on a sponser, i think i would call it "The Runner Up Series" because it is sort of like the runner up series compared to the Nextel Cup Series.

Im not so sure what Id call it but Im sure I could find out seeing how my uncle is an offical. Besides that I knew a long time coming this would happen, if you think about it they got rid of Winston because it was a smoking sponsor. If they get rid of them, same as Smokin Joes, they are some day going to get rid of the beer sponsors, including Bud, Miller, jack daniels etc...... is it a wise choice, I would think so bc there are a lot of younger fans rising up that are under aged and thats just promting it more. Since sprint and nextel mereged maybe they will make it sprint..... seeing how we have nextel already.

It will undoubtedly be named after whatever company agrees to be the Spenser. I'm sure as with Winston Leaving in '04 and being picked up by Nextel in '04, some company that's more family oriented will become the new Spenser for what "was" The Busch Series.

As of right now it looks like Wal-mart is wanting to put the most money out there to be the sponsor for the current Busch Series. If that is the case and Wal-mart gets the series they could call it:
"The Wal-mart" Race
"Always Low Prices" Race
"Watch out for Falling Prices" Race
"Sam's Choice" Race
"Sam Walton" Race
"The Walton's" Race
"The Good Night Johnboy" Race
You get the idea. The sponsor would get to put their name on the series however they choose.

My guess is that Nextel will also sponsor the Busch series, but instead of it being Nextel, it will be the Sprint National Series. Nextel bought Sprint a few months back.

Anything but the WAL-MART series!
Subway would be a good choice. General Mills, Kraft, a technology company maybe. Hope it is someone that has already sponsered a car or a race and understands our sport. We don't need a bunch of high falutin' hoopies comin' in and trying to bring in a bunch of outsiders and switch it all up. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Did that sound red neck of me? lmao So be it!

I think they should call it 'We make you pay extra for your nascar weekend tickets if you want the best seats on sunday' series. I mean i go to the vegas race every year and if you want the best seats you have to buy the busch series race too.

What would I call it? The Busch Series. Just as Cup will always be the Winston Cup in my household.

I think they should still call it the BUSCH series just because thats what people have grown up with and know it as and I dont know what I would really call it because the only thing I know it as is BUSCH.

It'll undoubtedly be named after the sponsor that picks it up. The Nextel Cup used to be the Winston Cup; ya know?
