At 4 weeks you can offer them dry puppy food moistened with warm water twice a day. They can also be given fresh water several times a day. By around 6 weeks, the mother will have weaned them - then you need to feed them 3 times a day (as much as they'll eat in 15 - 20 minutes) with fresh water always available.

Puppies should not be fully weaned on to puppy food until at least 5-6 weeks. They may want to start nibbling on it at 3 weeks, but they should still be able to nurse. Also they should not go to their new homes until 10 weeks.

Puppies can be started on mush (soaked & mashed puppy food) at 4 wks. If the mother dog is allowing them to nurse, then let her. If at 5 wks she is allowing them to nurse a little, suppliment with mush. Once you start them, they will prefer it. At this age, you will need to feed them at least 4-5 x a day. Talk to your vet and find out what kind of feeding schedule is best for the breed you are talking about.

Usually about 5-6 weeks, if it is made available to them they will start eating it when they are ready they instinctively know when. If you are using dry food ensure it is softened first by soaking in water or milk.

Wait until they start growing teeth. Once you can visibly see little teeth, then it's time to start giving them food. You can either give them kibble in water to soften up, or giving them some ground up can food. Make sur the pieces are easy enough for them to chew. Once you get them on food, they look very cute when they shake. They are digesting their food.

i think they have to be at least 6 weeks. if they're eating dry food, u have to soak it in water to soften it. but just to be on the safe side, call a vet to make sure.

well dogs are weaned(drink moms milk) until 8 weeks but owners usually try to start getting them to eat a bit before that so they can become independent and not depend on their mothers milk

as soon as u get them. u gotta put hot water over it till it becomes moosh.then serve.
