I am looking for a good blender for making blended drinks that isn't too expensive. I currently have an Oster blender and have to keep replacing the bottom parts of it. Does anyone have the Cuisinart Smooth Operator.....do you like it?

Any other suggestions for a good and inexpensive blender are welcome.

Thanks in advance!

In the Dec. 2004 issue of Consumer Reports, that magazine recommended the $50 Braun PowerMAx MX2050 blender as a "best buy."

I've used the Cuisinart Smart Stick hand blender and it is excellent for mixing just about anything, including drinks. I believe it is product CSB-77.
