When refusing sugar in tea, I think it's better to say no thanks because that's simple and polite. Saying no I'm sweet enough is more funny and it could be a joke.

I'm diabetic, and this comes up all the time. In the South, just ask for "unsweet tea." They understand this, and will bring it to you without hesitation. Elsewhere, sweet tea isn't such a common thing, and asking for tea without sugar is simpler.

Depends...is the server cute?
...and if you live in the South, good luck finding any tea that isn't sweetened! :)

In a restaurant? Please refrain from making the joke. Your waiter has heard it a thousand times, and it doesn't get any funnier.
No thank you will suffice.
