I was once married to a Barbie Doll of a woman. Guys used to eye her all the time. But once we were on a fishing trip and I noticed a man and his wife sitting on the river bank. They were both unattractive. But I knew that man had something I didn't and I was very jealous. He had a true companion in that woman. You could just see the love between them. Luckily for me, my wife decided to leave me for another man. I stayed single for 8 years before I found true love. Now, we are the couple I saw on that riverbank. Neither of us are "hot". But everyone at work sees us together all the time and they know what we have. I can see the jealousy in them that I once had for the couple by the river. Life's been very good to me.

So, I hope you don't get too wrapped up in looks and then discover like I did on the riverbank that you've missed the whole point of a relationship. It's all about companionship. Looks don't even matter.

If you love someone for their looks, then through some unfortunate accident they become disfigured, what then? You will have nothing!

They do matter some what but in the long run if you could marry someone that treats you as good as you want to be treated that is what counts, cause at the end even the best looking person looks pretty nasty when treat you like they they are the only number one in this world. . Looks are good only when they are a good inside. Maybe just so so looking people are best because at the it is not about how good they are out side but how good they are inside.

While looks aren't everything they are something. But I would rather have a sweet guy who is not as good looking as opposed to a good-looking jerk. My boyfriend however has both awesome looks and is the sweetiest most awesome person ever. I fell in love with the true him first as we weren't able to see each other as much. When I finally got to see him more I realized how good-looking he really was and to me that just added icing to the cake :)

a extremely handsome man/woman can really look ugly if they act ugly and treat you w/out respect. On the other hand if a not so attractive person is sweet and treats you with love, respect, kindness and lots of affection-that person will far outwiegh the beautiful/handsome one. beauty is only skin deep-looks are third on my list-if someone is really funny -it makes up for alot of flaws(thats just my opinion)-oh, and I cant stand it when someone is selfish-its a real turn off-so first grade.
