It depends on which way the man you met was going. If he was headed to St. Ives as well, then there would be 2802 going to St. Ives. You + the man + 7 wives + 49 sacks + 343 cats + 2401 kits = 2802. If he was headed away from St. Ives, then only you would be going to St. Ives.
