Dont rule it out let him know right now you are not interested. Sometimes it is someone you would never consider dating who later is your best friend as well as your lover. The best relationships are built on friendships. So remember dont outright refuse try to put it off. You never know what the future holds. Good luck.

Explain to him that your happy with him being your good friend and you don't want to do anything to jeopardise that.

If you start dating that will forever take that friendship away and you guys can never go back to it again.

You will loose him all together and your just not willing to loose him as that friend that you Cherish so much.

Good luck and have a safe and
HAPPY NEW YEAR !

He's the nicest guy in the word, But not your type? that doesnt' sound right. I'm thinking you don't want to date him because he's not attractive, thats the main reason.
But just tell him, thats he's just a good friend and nothing more.

Perhaps he's a treasure waiting to be discovered! Treasures are always hidden in ugly containers.

But you're clearly looking for Mr. Hottie, so I think you should simply blow him off. You don't deserve him. Something tells me you'll get exactly who you deserve.

And that will leave him for someone with a little more substance. You'll be doing him a favor.

Just tell him that you don't want to ruin the friendship by dating. Say that you really value his friendship the way he is and want him to be happy but would rather just be friends.

I think honesty is the best policy. And yeah it might hurt him, u can't avoid it, but you don't want to lie and say yeah u like him and end up dating him out of pity. It might affect yall friendship but I don't think it will harm it much, he will just have to deal with it unfortunately and hopefully we will move on and yall will still remain good buddies ^_^

Just don't go out with him. You should take a few minutes to explain to him that you consider him to be a very good friend and confidant and you prefer not to lose that relationship with him, rather than risk it by going out and becoming romantically inclined.

Just say okay, and go out with him once, i mean, he is a really good friend and nice and stuff.... and if he really likes you, dont u think he deserves a date with you? but then say that u like it when you guys are just good friends so you dont hurt his feelings.

Just tell the truth and tell him that you think by dating it will ruin your friendship and that you don't want that-you think your friendship is more important.
