A guy I dated long ago started contacting me again.
I was long distance but now live close to him in my hometown.
Instead of asking me out on a proper date he keeps asking me to come over to his house.
I would never do this before dating him in public for a while because he has already scared me.
He started to get sexual in his IMs and talk about extreme s & m fantasies and about making me a hurt a little. plus he sent pics of his privates unsolicited to me and asked what I think of 'friends with benefits'
I decided to take a stand and wrote him that I have high standards and havent compromised my dating principles. I then wrote I'd be happy to see him if he'd ask me out on a normal date.
His response was that Im mean and trying to control everything and he'll see me when and how he wants to but now since I was so pushy he is leaving me alone.
Did I do the right thing ? Am I mean ? Or a smart girlie ?

You are smart and have standards. There are a lot of easy girls out there now a day and when a decent girl comes along with a strong mind of her own, a lot of guys think she's a "b*tch" or "mean."
Good for you for not compromising your standards, you are smart.

you did the right thing. if a guy did that to me, i would have did the same thing you did. so, don't feel bad. out of those options i'd pick 'you're doing the right thing' and 'smart girlie'.*
