Well, let's consider the subject of divorce. I have been told by several Christians that the divorce rate is drastically higher among their ranks because, and I'm not kidding, they really said this: "Satan tempts so many Christians into sin".

Look at that! They have been VICTIMIZED by the dark lord. Divorce isn't their fault... Satan drove them to it! Don't blame them, blame the invisible enemy!! Again, NOT kidding. True story.

Blaming the "enemy" right? a knowledgeable or mature christian knows that satan is just a created being and therefore has no power over those who are saved by the blood of Christ. everything that satan does to us has to go before the Father first.... See the book of Job in the old testament for further details. (I would try biblegateway.com because they have several version of the bible on there)
NOW TEMPTATION is a wicked thing though and sometimes we (Christians) stumble. The point is what do we believe? the sacred text (bible) which says that satan NO LONGER rules over us and we are to run to Jesus and look to the Lord for strength or are we feeble and are just going to use satan as a scapegoat ? At the end of the day it's up to every Christian to decide. (that whole free will thing can be quite a BOOGER)

I am a Christian, and when I do something that is wrong, I do not blame Satan. We are still responsible for how we act. Granted sometimes Satan does things in a persons life to cause problems, because he does not want us to walk uprightly with the Lord. Thanks for this question, it makes me realize even more how the world is watching, and how we respond when we sin, PRAISE GOD I am forgiven, but that does not give me the right to blame Satan when I do, or sin and just "beg" for forgiveness,

nope alot of christians blame it all on satan instead of taking responsibility for their own actions while some a very few will actually take some responsibility for their actions and mistakes

I'm a Christian and I don't blame him for anything. I sin because I'm only human. Christians aren't perfect, they're forgiven. Have you ever done anything you truly felt bad for? We Christians are the same way. We sin everyday, but we TRY to live better, when we sin we try to make our life better by not doing it again. It doesn't always work. You show me a christian without sin and i'll show you a liar. But we try to live better. Not because we are trying to buy our way into heaven, but because we're thankful for the gift we've received.
But in the end we're only human. We're not perfect and there are some that are a little overzealous. I personally, will never start shouting over a loudspeaker that everyone is going to hell, But in a way i can understand them. If you were to suddenly wake up on September 10th 2001 and you knew what would happen the next day, wouldn't you try to warn them? Would you get a loudspeaker and yell at them telling them tomorrow they will all die? What if they looked at you like you were crazy, would that stop you from trying to convince them? That's what we Christians are all about. We have the inside scoop about what's going to go down and we want to let you in on it too. Not because we think we're better than you, but because we don't want bad things to happen to people....
People do all kinds of things in this world in thier search for happiness....sex.....drugs....you name it. Some people find it in those things.... most dont. If anyone is reading this and you've been searching for something and never found it....find a christian and ask him....you may find what you're looking for....

LOL Satan dosen't give most of the people on the planet the time of day he isn't omnipresent. We are responsible for our own actions and we allow demos to influence us only by our will and desire and giving into the flesh. A christian should know better and I think is heald more accuntable for their actions. and NATAS 6665 Go read the fall of man account in genesis again. Your logistics are a bit flawed.

I am not sure. I don't blame Satan for MY actions. I am not "Christian" per se but I beleive in God. Everyone has to take responsibility for their own actions.

We dont "blame" satan as much as we will admit we gave in to Satan. I take responsibility for my actions because I know I will be held accountable. If I didnt believe in eternity, I might only be concerned with "getting caught"

I am a Christian and I blame myself for my own mistakes, Satan is loving it when it happens. You cant say all Christians in general. That is sterotyping.

You cannot even become a Christian without taking personal responsibility for your sins, ...

Have you done that yet? OR are you still blaming the Christians?

Satan may tempt me, but I am the one who chooses whether to act on the temptation or not. So in that respect, I have to take responsibility for my own wrong doing.
