I am in love with my ex-boyfriend. We have both made it clear to each other that we love each other. However, he is 24, not in college, has bipolar, lives @ home and has a job working in retail. My question is....is love ENOUGH? My mom says I shouldn't be with someone who has bipolar and stuff bc it would be a bad life for me, but I love him with all my heart. IS LOVE ENOUGH?

if you are honestly meant to be, it'll work out. you know in your heart (deep down) what the real answer is. all you want right now is reassurance and unfortunately that is for you to decide. aren't we all so lucky to have decisions to make?

I have bipolar and i'm offended that your mom doesn't want you to be with someone that has it. Your mom could be using that as an excuse to tell you so you won't date him. Evaluate the situation though, it seems the main reason is money and thats a problem your always going to have with him or someone else, unless you plan on dating a movie star.
Just because they're bipolar doesn't mean they're always pissed. It's just that people with bipolar tend to get super angry at small things that would usually bother people a little bit.

that's a question only you, your boyfriend and time can tell.... if he's trying with meds and stuff and he has a job then he should be able to function... if you both truly love each other then you can find a way to be together... if he is always off his meds and is just basically unstable... then you need to let him go a move on because in the end it's not worth it to either of you to get hurt like that... i don't really know i've never been in that situation but i think that you know the answer, you just have to listen to your heart

Love is always enough...my ex, who i'm completely in love with, has bipolar, but i'm determined to make it work..love is hard to find, you shouldn't let other things get in the way of it

No - you sound young - love is not enough. Wait until you are 25 before you get involved any further with this man. Go to college and get a good job and then date him.

It seems to be enough for women. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way with men. Most women will stay with a cripple (in every way) husband but a guy will cut and run to another woman, given a chance.

Love is Enough if both of you Care for each other, Respect each other, and most of all Trust each other.
It's not about your Mother, Friends or anybody, it about you too.
LOVE ON!!!!
