This is a serious question and can't just be solved by dumping the guy. If you dump him just because he cheated on you then it would mean that you were in some way looking all along for a way out. If he told you he cheated on you, he respects you and know that no matter what may come, he is willing to pay the price but he wants to be with you. If you heard it from a friend then it shows a lack of respect, and honestly from my past relationships, if someone does not have respect for you, there is not point to be in any form of a relationship with that person, no matter what. Respect is important because it makes sure that the relationship is mutual and not one side is taking atvatage of the other. Often when I find myself not respecting someone then, I feel it is time to break up with them, because I have respect for myself. Ways you can find out if he respects you, is by asking him why he didn't come to you, or if being in a serious relationship is too much for him. It is a tough time, and you must be really hurt, just know acting like it never happen will make you feel better for a little but in the long run you are only hurting yourself. Good luck I reallhy feel for you, I am sorry, no one should feel that way : )

I think you could both see other people, but I'm not sure if you are meant for a long term relationship. A lot of damage has just been done, and there just isn't much to build from now. You are best going your separate ways, but if you're both agreeable to a non-exclusive relationship, that might help you sort through some feelings. You know, get time to regain some dignity before you dump him!

depends on the circumstances. believe it or not there is a gray area when it comes to cheating... if you love him, give him a chance, talk it out. get angry, make him pay and know that he really hurt you and if he loves you then it will all turn out ok. but if you just really like him and don't think that there could be a future or anything then he's not worth your time. again, it all depends on the circumstances and what you mean by cheating... i was in a similar situation, email me if you want some more in depth advice... remember to guard your heart, it's a very fragile thing and you shouldn't give it to just anybody... good luck sweetie!

Dump him! I gave my ex several chances while dating. During the first three years she was faithful, but then the temptation caused her to cheat on me. When I would confront her, she would deny anything, I had no solid proof. Then during the 7th year of our marriage, I confronted her saying I was willing to do anything, and she said she couldn't. I found out later that she had been cheating on me with up to 17 guys. Long story short, I should have dumped her long ago.

A person who cheats only cares about themself. Someone who cheats is a looser. He's a looser and some pretty serious integrity issues. Move on, you can find someone esle. Karma is going to catch up to him shortly, sit back, dont react and enjoy the show! The asshole will get his.

Men and women are the same in this department. Although, I have learnt that once a cheater always a cheater does not always apply. Talk with him, ask why and if you don't like the answer....say goodbye.
Remember to look him in the eyes, see what lies benieth his answer.
Good luck girl and remember to respect yourself in your final decision.

If he cheated on you once he do it it again and think he can get away with it. So my suggestion is just let him go because he's not worth your time and he must not really care about you.

If he did it and you did nothing wrong. Kick his a** to the fu***** curb. I'm getting a divorce from my wife for the same thing. I'm a United States Marine and all i ever did was love her and try my best to take care of her. While she used me and took me for everything i had. Its not really worth it to work it out. But if you really like him you can try to work it out. But the question is could you trust him again?
