I would like to know which place is the best for a toddler bed to be in my 2 year olds bedroom in accordance to fire safety? I have heard different opinions on the location of the bed to the window for safety reasons. I know that it should not be placed under the window, but should it be closer to her window or closer to her door? Her door and window are on oposite sides of her room.

I say in a corner near the door but close to a window. Keep things that can get tangled around the neck away from any child.
You seem to know what you are doing so just do what you know is best for your child. ~;}

well we always put our children's beds away from the window and door because of a fire hazard and the safety of maybe falling out of the window or getting hurt around it. We also pushed the bed up to the wall on one side as to help with falls out of the bed. I hope this helps, remember this is just an opinion and you should chose what is best for your child.

For sure not right under the window, but if you're concerned about fire saftey check with your local fire department for free decals that can be adhered to your child's window to let responding emergency personel know where his/her room is. Fire and EMS look for these decals and pay special attention to that area of your home.

against a wall for safety & near the door, teach her the stop, drop & roll method.--that is what they do in school.
although-they do tell kids if the door is too hot to go to the nearest window for help.

maybe against the wall that is closest to the window? but not directly under the window

I would say by the door. Its never to early to start teaching fire safety and have a escape plan.

i would say away from the window, and door, but in a corner not facing the closet. It shouldn't be by the window or door because of the fire hazards, and it shouldn't be facing the closet due to bad dreams and screams.

Anyplace where the toddler will have the best camera angle to film mommy and daddy doing the horizontal mambo.

Come on..tell me that's not funny.
