Well I'm assuming you're of the female gender?

The blunt way: "Hey, (insert name here), would you like to go out wiht me?"

The "it's hard for us to say 'no' way": Get his favorite candy and put a little note in it asking him out and say how much you love him. If he say's no it'll at least make him feel good and know you care.
