My hair is somewhat curly, but I think the perm would make it look better (more full and curly). It is healthy, but not very thick. I've only colored it once. So, do you think my hair would take the perm? Or would it fall out, so to speak. Also, how much does an average perm usually cost? I've heard around $50. Basically, I would like to know the "101" on perms. Thanks.

My mom owned a salon, my daughter is a hairstylist now. Here's our advice if you already have naturally curly hair (lucky you)!!
all you need to do is try a good quality scrunching product to enhace what God gave you. Aussie makes a good one, John
Freida has a great line of products to define curls. Perms are
somewhat bad for the hair. Why put all those chemicals on
naturally curly hair when you can use a product that is non-chemical and you will achieve the same result. Besides not only are perms expensive you could end up with WAY too much curl.

It facilitates to hold your hair over your head forward. enable it air dry.
