The Dalai Lama's books are all good, I especially like "How to Practice" Also good is Liberation in The Palm of your Hand or a good guide to the Lam Rim

I see people have given you websites, here are some good books: Buddhism for Beginners by: Thubten Chodron Peace Is Every Step by: Thich Nhat Hanh Essential Buddhism: A Complete Guide to Beliefs and Practices Jack Maguire I know there is a Buddhism for Dummies book too...I saw in my bookstore, but I haven't read it. I've read the other three on this list and recommend them.

"The buddhist vision" - Alex Kennedy
"The Universe in a single atom" - The Dalai Lama
(More about science though. I love this book because living in a world where religion and science are at war, with believers trying to force their ancient texts as pseudoscience in schools, this is one of the world's only leading religious figures who has the conviction to say "if my religion and science contradict, then it is my religion that must change")
Edit: I can't believe I missed out my favourite - "Siddartha" by Hermann Hesse.

2 of my my all time favourite is Faces of Enlightenment / Buddha Book. this book allows you to understand the Buddha and you can check on who's practice you want to follow ( faces of enlightenment has more descriptions on the buddhas)
Dangerous Friend is a good book in Varjayana on the 50 santza guru devotion that teaches us to maintain a relationship with our guru as the guru is the one who will being us to enlightenment.
You can also try Lam Rim Chemo, that book is great too.
or if you want dharma knowledge, I would love to share with you about my blog,

The Bible, even though it doesn't mention budda, it does mention false religions and false teachers. Buddhism is nonsense.
