how old was people when they had their 1st child?
do you wish you could go back in change it?
and if you had a baby while you was in high school or college: did you find it very hard to keep up with your education?

My husband and I were married when he was 19 and I was 18. Our children were born when I was 20, 23, 26, and 38 (she was a surprise! conceived when I had been on the Pill for 11 years). We were married and our first 2 kids were born when I was going to college full-time to get a teaching degree and working part-time. It was difficult and required a lot of organization, cooperation between my husband and I, and support from some trusted and loving family and friends. I am now 48 years old, my husband is 49 and we'll celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary in June. Our kids are 27, 25, 22, and 9. We'll welcome our first grandchild in April. I have been a younger mom and an older mom. Both have their pros and cons. For me, if I could go back in time and change anything, I don't think I would. My life is different now from what I imagined it would be when I was in high school and I am glad for that.

I'm 25 and my husband and I are expecting our first child at the end of June 2007. We both decided together that we wanted to have a child and were actually trying for about 9 months before we got pregnant, so we are really happy! I'm currently in college, so I am very interested to see how it will work out when the baby arrives, but we have a lot of support from each other and our families! However, there were quite a few weeks of severe "morning sickness" that made it really hard to concentrate on my homework!

I was 17 when I had my first; got pregnant at 16. I finished high school through home study and didn't find it hard at all, I actually finished 1/2 my junior and all of my senior year 7 months before all of my friends finished.

Sometimes I wish that it wouldn't have happened, I missed out on a lot but I love my son and my 2 other kids and really wouldn't give them up for anything.

I was 21 when I had my son. He's just turned 7 and sometimes I wish I had waited a little longer to have a baby. Just because I think I may have been a little more patient and mature. I wouldn't take anything for him, he is the best thing that ever happened to me. Now I am married to a man that has 3 kids and they are all close in age. So I have been blessed with 3 boys and 1 girl! My mother-in-law also has custody of 3 more kids, so we all have very full houses!

22 and I had twins. I would go back and change how old I was to be older if I could. Although it wouldn't guarantee that I would have the same wonderful girls I do today. I was married and in college and honestly, it wasn't that hard to keep up I just cut back on my class load while they were babies. That being said they are nine now and I have yet to finish completely...hm...wonder what that means?
