No one can make you believe or disbelieve, you must find the truth as you know it not as someone else knows it. Think for yourself, find the truth for yourself. I have that's why I love Jesus Christ!

ANSWERING PRAYERS: Keep seeking and the truth will be revealed, but remember you cannot dictate to God what His timeline for answering your prayers should be. He will reveal to you all that you seek in PERFECT time. Remember He is the All-knowing, the All-wise, the All-loving. Humans are not. It could also be that He HAS revealed the answers to you and you haven't recognized them. Jesus Christ said "Be watchful for I will come as a thief in the night."
GOD IS REAL: In your search, ponder for awhile the scientific pattern of existence. Do you have a beautiful painting on your wall? Is not the existence of that painting proof of the existence of a painter? Perhaps you have never met the painter or even know who he/she is, but without doubt, the painting could not exist without there being a painter. So it is with all creation. Those who say the Creator is not real are also trying to tell you this creation is not real. But if it is clear to you that this creation exists, then know without any doubt, a Creator also exists. He/SHe/It is called by many Names, but as the old adage goes, a rose by any other name is still a rose. We are here - God is real!!!
CONFIDENCE IN THE AFTERLIFE: Below are some quotes from the Baha'i Holy Writings. I pray they restore your confidence in the afterlife and bring you peace concerning your beloved mother.
1. "Know thou of a truth that the soul, after its separation from the body, will continue to progress until it attaineth the presence of God, in a state and condition which neither the revolution of ages and centuries, nor the changes and chances of this world, can alter. It will endure as long as the Kingdom of God, His sovereignty, His dominion and power will endure. It will manifest the signs of God and His attributes, and will reveal His loving kindness and bounty."
2. "As to the question whether the souls will recognize each other in the spiritual world: this fact is certain; for the Kingdom is the world of vision where all the concealed realities will become disclosed. How much more the well-known souls will become manifest. The mysteries of which man is heedless in this earthly world, those he will discover in the heavenly world, and there will he be informed of the secret of truth; how much more will he recognize or discover persons with whom he hath been associated. Undoubtedly, the holy souls who find a pure eye and are favored with insight will, in the kingdom of lights, be acquainted with all mysteries, and will seek the bounty of witnessing the reality of every great soul. Even they will manifestly behold the Beauty of God in that world."
3. "... a love that one may have entertained for any one will not be forgotten in the world of the Kingdom. Likewise, thou wilt not forget (there) the life that thou hast had in the material world."
4. “The inscrutable divine wisdom underlies such heart-rending occurrences. It is as if a kind gardener transfers a fresh and tender shrub from a narrow place to a vast region. This transference is not the cause of the withering, the waning or the destruction of that shrub, nay rather it makes it grow and thrive, acquire freshness and delicacy and attain verdue and fruition. This hidden secret is well-known to the gardener, while those souls who are unaware of this bounty suppose that the gardener in his anger and wrath has uprooted the shrub. But to those who are aware this concealed fact is manifest and this predestined decree considered a favor. Do not feel grieved and disconsolate therefore …”
Maria, you seem to have a pure heart. Use it to serve humanity and never stop your search for Truth. God be with you.

You must be very careful not to fall into believing every thing that one may say to you..
Keep in mind the Bible states
2 Corinthians 4:4 among whom the god of this system[Satan]has blinded the minds of the unbelievers ...
2 Corinthians 11:14
and no wonder for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light.
Keep reading the Bible I have three different ones just so when I am having allot of trouble I have three to look up in and make sure that they are saying the same thing..
I will pray for you
but do no that you must search for Him He will show him self to you.....
Pray Pray Read the Bible search for him with an opened mind.... I have all the faith in him that if you do this he will show himself to you..
my prayers will be with you Maria

Well, if you believe in reincarnation, then you shouldn't fear death. You're mother is probably in her next life, relearning all of life's little lessons. Trust me, she's fine! Here, if it makes you any calmer, I'll post my theory on reincarnation:
When a person dies, their brain releases all that it's accumulated in one short blast of brain waves. Everything that was stored in the subconscious is flushed out in a shock wave. Well, when intercepted, by say an unborn child, which in this case would be a "blank slate", these brain waves are written into the child's subconscious. Voila, reincarnation.
Since the body is an extension of the soul and the mind is the conscious body of the soul, those brain waves basically are the soul.
Also, when two or more "blank slates" intercept these brain waves, the information is written on all of them. That's why some people have claimed to have the same past life.
But if no one dies near them at the time of birth, then the person could grow up without having a past life at all. Their mind would be developing with nothing to go by. All that really does is create a lack of the Deja Vu effect.
With this theory, that would also include the reincarnate of animals as people. "Well then, wouldn't those people react as an animal would then?" some people would ask. The answer is no and here's a very good quote to explain why.
"I do not react as a wolf would, I react as a wolf would whose soul has been placed in a human body and raised in a human society for 18 years."
Believe me when I say that reincarnation is a very possible after life. Reincarnation allows a person to become wiser with their years. Peace, your mother is alive and well, especially within your heart.

We all go through very hard times as we progress through the earthly experience of life. Please, do not let doubt or temptation have any foothold in your thought about things.
I do not have time right now to write, but you can email via Answers and I’ll respond ASAP. There is much to share, but I’ll tell you a truth and that is that God’s love is constant and very real. This I know.

We have a saying in our home. It's all in the soup. We believe that nothing dies it just changes form. Look at the world around you. Your mother has joined my grandmother and all whom we have lost . They are all around us, they exist, just in a form our measly five senses cannot comprehend. Since you are looking on the Internet for answers look at this link and some of the other pages. You need to remember that man has written everything you read and each man will spin the story according to his own experience.

Be glad that God has called your mother home and she's at peace rather than suffering here with us. We never get everything that we pray for because somethings are not what God wants for us. We give up our faith when we dont get what we ask for from God which isnt right. never test God. godsimaginary.com is was probably created by a God hating atheist that despises god and want everyone else to do the same. you see this as well on Answers. Along with faith you need patience. Get a prayer buddy and pray together. it seems as though you need christian reinforcement because you are becoming weak. dont let the devil win Maria. he wants you to question God and his power.

You can continue to have faith that there's an afterlife or you can take the words you read on godisimaginary.com to heart. But it seems to me that the side where god doesn't exist is more realistic than the faith-based side.
And.. I didn't know mustard seeds had faith in god.

I can't pray for you, but I can tell you that it doesn't bother me to think that when I and my loved ones die that we will never exist again. In my opinion, we are just people, and there is nothing particularly special about us except that we are more highly evolved than the other animals. To me, it is amazing enough that I have this life to life, I don't expect more than that.
That website - godisimaginary.com - is pretty interesting. Thank you for mentioning it.

I think you've just discovered a little bright shining shaft of reality. It hurts your brain at first, if its been in the dark for a while.
But as you get used to it, and as you let the door to your thinking mind open a little more, you will start to see colours more brightly and vividly, colours you never even imagined existed, and wonder how you could have lived in the dark for so long. Welcome back to the real world. I know its been a hard journey.
I don't like to think that we just end either, but as far as I know, that is all that happens. There is no reason to think otherwise. I'm sorry about that, really. If you have had faith for a long time, it must feel like you've been wasting your whole life believing in something that isnt there, praying to nothing....no wonder you prayers were never answered. Unless you count, "yes", "no", or "maybe" as answers. I could pray to a brick and get the same results.
EDIT
You just have to love the xian thought police at Y!A....I got 3 thumbs down just for posting the first word of my answer. Good work! You guys rock at knee jerk unthinking attack...never mind the message, lets take out the messenger. Feel the love.
